Our Honeymoon in New York City

We did something a bit unconvential for our honeymoon. Instead of going somewhere exotic, far-away, and new we decided to go to New York City. It was nearby and very familiar to us. I had very little vacation time, so we only went for five days (ok three full days and two half days). But it turned out to be one of the best things we did. We were exhausted and it was much more fun to be some place closeby that we knew we liked rather than endure more stress of travelling. So here's what we did...

Sunday, September 9

We say good-bye to the last of our guests and friends.

Limousine picks us up at our house around 2 p.m.

We pull up at the Waldorf Hotel around 5:30.

There is champagne, strawberries, robes, and slippers for us in our suite.

Monday, September 10

The day before Bruce broke his iPhone, so we head out to find the Apple Store.

We stop by B&H and drop off some film from our wedding.

We get some coffee, do a little shopping, stop off for some drinks and then head back to our hotel room.

Tuesday, September 11

We head back to the Apple store to pick up Bruce's phone. All is right with the world again.

We planned on going to the Empire State Building, but conditions were too rainy and dark.

So instead we go back to our hotel to hide from the rain and check out the exclusive lounge in the Waldorf.

Then we get dressed up and see Les Miserables on Broadway.

Wednesday, September 12

We started this day off by going to B&H and picking up our photos.

We went to a diner to look at them and I tried an Egg Drop for the first time. (It wasn't exactly the best thing I'd ever had, but I might try one again somewhere else someday. Just to make sure.)

The weather was gorgeous this day, so we make it up to the top of Empire State Building (after a very long wait). The view was beautiful.

We went over to Central Park and had a romantic carriage ride around the park.

We ended the day with seeing the Blue Man Group.

Thursday, September 13

We went shopping at some exclusive boutiques around the City.

We checked out and took our limo back home to Connecticut.
